One of the largest autumn festivals held in the south of Chiba prefecture, the area formerly called  Awa or Naso Land govern by the Samurai Family "Boso Satomi" about 500 years ago. The festival includes Samurai parade and performances at the beach.

Getting there from Tokyo
Express buss service is available between Tokyo Station and Tateyama Station
(Travel time:about 2hr 15 min. Fare:2500 JP Yen)

Getting there by train from Chiba Station
From Chiba Station, take the JR Uchobo-sen train (Kaisoku Express) bound for Kimitsu 君津. At the Kimitsu Station change the train and take a local train bound for Tateyama Station 館山. (Total travel time: 1 hr 50 min. Fare: 1490 Yen)
The festival's main place is in front of the Tateyama Station (West Exit)

From Chiba Station, the express bus is also served. (Travel time: 1hr 45min. Fare:1550 Yen)
