The largest festival held at Nikko Toshogu Shrine in the historic area of Nikko. This event takes place in spring and autumn. Though the festival in autumn is smaller than it in spring, autumn is a great season to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains in Nikko covered with colorful leaves.
This shrine ritual is annually held on 16th and 17th of October.
*IIt will be so crowded with tourists in Nikko between late October to middle November. It is suggested that you plan a trip there with that in mind.
