August - 8 : Hachi-gatsu
A big Yosakoi-dance competition festival held at Harajuku Omotesando Street, Meiji Shrine, and NHK Keyaki Street in Shibuya.
Began in 1957, Koenji Awa-odori dance festival became a popular event held every summer. 10,000 dancers will join, and a million visitors come to see their performance.
A traditional festival held at Suwa-jinja Shrine at Yanaka. During the festival, about 100 stalls will line the streets next to the shrine.
A night market held along Hinohara-kaido way in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station. Handmade lanterns line and shine in the marketplace has a calm and friendly atmosphere of the old town in Tokyo.
